Tokyo fashion week
Tokyo fashion week is always an interesting moment for us, it's plenty of nice ideas, suprising castings and we always find some attractive items or whole outfits. F/w 07-08 is no exception but looks even better at first sight. Global trends, different interpretations or completely funny and eye-catching, it was a real pleasure to select our favorite looks from Tokyo's designers.
Grey was the main color in many collections and its use was very often clever and subtle. Mixing different shades or combining it to bold colors, it's easy to find some dazzling pieces. The choice is harder: can't tell who did the best ones between G.V.G.V and Hisui.
Metallic fabrics seem to be in every fashion week, here as well. Warning: hot outfits have been spotted ! From Kamishima Chinami's McQueenesque version to G.V.G.V or Ritsuko Kato's wearable interpretation of metallic stuff, it suits the eyes and fits the silhouettes.
Dresses, especially short ones and coats were often the strongest pieces in many collections, knitwear here and there doesn't hurt and glove as well as tights looked like final touches on many outfits. Also special mention to Hisui's shapes and cuts, maybe our favorite collection so far.
As for the castings, it's the same as usual. Many unknown models and a few familiar faces like Kerstin Mannik, Marina Dreux, Anna Nocon or Ksenia Kahnovich. Pretty redheads and intriguig pouts were also spotted here or there. Always remember that some of today's most famous models like Olga Sherer once were unknown newcomers in Tokyo...
