Shea Prueger @ IMG (NY)

Seems we share some favorites with photographer Kristiina Wilson. Same models, same tastes. First Ilona Struzik or Martina Correa, now Shea. We've been thinking about writing on Shea for a long time but never had the right opportunity. We loved her polas from IMG New York and they were maybe the kick that placed her among our favorites. It doesn't sound really original to write it this way but she looks like nobody else on their development board. Not to say she's more unique or the others less unique. She just clearly stands out. Not only her hair or maybe the right hair - right cut, right color - with the right face - right shape, right expressions. Don't know. The perfect match. We've never met her so we're not going to say she's like this or like that, we don't know anything of her personality. All we can say is her look and attitude in front of the camera turn her into a fantastic 5'11 character. Not too gimmicky, not too versatile. Somewhere in between that gives a magical appeal. Impossible to describe with proper words. Or to make it quick and not too strange: Shea Prueger or how to handle a carrot as a stylish item. Should fit. At least it fits for an editorial called Black Rabbit.

I know Shea well. I noticed that you said you knew nothing of her personality but I do so let me fill you in. It's the first thing you notice, second - brains. She is smart, cool, funny, and oddly insightful. She writes, mostly funny complaining and cynical observations, mostly as blogs. She is also in an animated film as one of the characters. In other words, she actually does things, unlike many city beauties. Cool girl, no BS, I actually think she looks kinda funny in a rad way.
