Fashion does it Better

And Now

Tessa Gelderblom @ SPS (The Netherlands) It's almost one day, one Tessa or let's just say here comes the other Tessa from SPS Model Management, Tessa Gelderblom. Just as fresh as her homonymous agency-mate, Miss Gelderblom took a different road with her different look and if you may not remember which one has what last name, you can mistake their faces. Actually the two could have been featured in the same post as these stories by Gilbert François were initially meant to be a huge one, a panoramic overview of the newbies at SPS.... [Lire la suite]

Hide & Seek

Sharon Van De Pas @ IMG (NY) It takes a Friday afternoon, allergies and a good shower, countless cups of coffee to get back to these topics we've been working on for weeks waiting for better words and a better moment than in between two other features to publish them. Among these topics was Coco Young's second part, there was also Sharon Van De Pas by James Mahon. Pictures were waiting for a few weeks already, if not more and we wouldn't exaggerate saying we thought of them every single day since they hit... [Lire la suite]

The 2 2 Watch

Madeleine Lundmark @ FM (London) High season, low season and in between, the latter being the most interesting to us when all the agencies of all four cities are getting their new "weapons" ready for the victory. Everyone has his own recipe, every idea is good to hear and every strategy has its advantages. It's no secret we particularly appreciate the work done at FM Models in London, it's not surprise then to see two girls from them being featured here again. And we've got a few good reasons to be excited about... [Lire la suite]

On and On, All in All

Lais Ribeiro @ Joy Star System, Joy Model Management (Sao Paulo), Women Management (NY) Finally. We have our opportunity to drop a few lines on Lais Ribeiro. We were watching her, day in day out since she appeared at her mother agency, Joy Star System. Obvious beauty, too striking not to get noticed in a glimpse yet seemed to came out of nowhere. So quick, so unexpected and so expectable at the same time as great debuts can be. We just had enough time to think of featuring her and she was already signed with Women, New York. And... Delightful Details

Tessa Westerhof @ SPS (The Netherlands) Time goes by so slowly... and fashion is supposed to go so fast. Or was supposed, fashion has gone mid-tempo, upbeat yet slower, mild or bittersweet atmosphere with all these moves that aren't changes and other breaking news turning out to be minor facts, forgotten the day after. Once upon a little time, new faces were everywhere, literally pouring down. Every fresh face was labeled the next big thing then had to survive the hype or disappear. The shock of the new was daily, the new generation... [Lire la suite]

The Sooner the Better

Paulina Klimek @ Eastern (Poland) One way or another, one month or another she's going to make it... One month, maybe next one, as she's going to turn 16 in June, Paulina Klimek could take the world by storm. We've been following her first steps last year which already included two trips, in London and Milan, and might have to stay tuned now for the next international moves in her career. The latest materials we received are typical beauty shots (sleek, smooth, black and white) that might not thrill you as... [Lire la suite]

No Fuss

Tabea @ IMG (NY) Could be one of these entries with our homemade cheesy titles like "Love is all what matters" and actually at the moment we're writing these lines we have no clue on what the title would look (sound) like. Might go for that cheap romantic vibe, just to get out of the drama. So, things are pretty official now if you check out Tabea's book on IMG's website (gorgeous book, by the way) but this is not really what we want to comment on today. Don't want to say it's good or bad, don't... [Lire la suite]

A Matter of Labels

Delphie What do you do when you have five minutes free while working on a Sunday ? Go to the bookshop at the train station and check out what new magazines they have in store. And as far as we remember, only French Elle and a couple more french glossies with no guarantee to find a nice one. Though, this week's Elle was pretty interesting (visually, as we haven't read one word yet). Most interesting part was probably their "new faces" topic, called "future top models". A bit awkward, of course, but always raising some interesting... [Lire la suite]

The Supreme Series, Part Four: Kel

Kel Markey @ Supreme (NY) Our Supreme Series wouldn't be complete without one of the newest faces in the featured team. Models we picked for the previous three posts were all different in terms of look and career pattern, Kel Markey on the list adds another element to our point. The young lady from Florida is already getting some serious love from NYC and we have no trouble in believing it as looking at her portfolio quickly becomes addictive even if it's still work in progress. Visually thrilling,... [Lire la suite]

Optically Optimal

Nastasia Ohl @ Next (NY) Long time no words on Nastasia Ohl, too long and enough silence. Were thinking of a new feature on her quite often, were waiting for the opportunity. It might be always like this, after all, always waiting for the right materials to pop up or even looking for them in a relentless quest. Hunting pictures, quite a beautiful way to spend weekends -- not to mention it does actually have some relaxing aspects as well, training your eye without working for real. Amazing, isn't it ? Not...
