Chanel Cruise 07/08

Besides the fact that my heart belongs to Galliano's Dior Cruise 07/08 (for what I've seen so far...) I'm not disappointed by Chanel. I see it as a typical collection by Karl Lagerfeld, a typical Chanel show. The atmosphere always seems to be the same, show after show (every kind of show; couture, ready-to-wear or any other), the amount of outfits is huge and I've got some troubles finding unity among them. But it never lacks of great finds, amazing items or brilliant ideas ! This collection can't be blame for a lack of diversity as it looks a bit like a catalogue. Bad or good ? It depends of the point of view. I often like strong, hypnotising atmoshpheres but seems that sometimes it could hide a weak collection when you look more carefully at the outfits and a lack of strong pieces. And here you have some so I would say it's maybe a good thing.
The interesting use of stripes was one of this collection's highlight and Sasha Pivovarova's outfit litterally caught my eyes. Kaki jacket and dress mixed to that blue top is a real delight. As well as her last outfit...
