Made in Germany

Anne Sophie Monrad @ Modelwerk (Hamburg), Ford (NY)

Made in Germany. These words often stands for quality, no matter what the topic is. It's well-known, and most of times, well said because truth is german products are often...well, well done. We're not talking about products, though, or if one product is in the spotlight today it might be a service: Modelwerk's precise and precious management. But the real heart of this story, you understood it, is the girls themselves.

Made in Germany, then and made in Modelwerk, actually. Anne Sophie Monrad counts among the model factory's most powerful discoveries, from Northern Germany to the whole world. With one of the best career plans, with loads of opportunities soon to translate into reality, Anne Sophie has built her book with golden pieces (like that one above by Tim Zaragoza), relying on her mother agency's and Ford NY's vision. And, as 2010 is starting, she's fully ready to show us she's even more than her expressive 5'11 pretty face.

Tabea Koebach @ Modelwerk (Hamburg), Marilyn (NY)

Another girl, another story. Totally different story. German as well but not coming from a German powerhouse's scouting system, Tabea is managed by Sebastian Mgmt Group which focuses more on image and long-term career development then numbers. From boutique mother agent to the model factory in Hamburg, there's only one step, though. And truth is this strategy perfectly works for her. Tabea built an unusual image since she caught her eyes a few seasons ago. Not the typical evolution for a model of our times but she's far from a common face herself as well. With a beauty type between odd sensuality and modern classicism, it's hard to stick her to one category. And from runway surprises to editorial wonders, her profile and portfolio hasn't followed any ready-made patterns. The moral of this story might be there's no fate in modeling.
